What this test measures

An extended panel of essential minerals and heavy metals in a small hair sample.

Why these markers matter

Hair incorporates minerals and metals as it grows. Because growth is slow, a sample taken close to the scalp reflects a window of several months rather than a single day. That longer window is the appeal — and also the limitation. Hair testing describes what was deposited during growth, which is a different question from what's circulating now or what's stored in tissue. Interpretation is debated, and external factors including hair treatments, dyes and some shampoos affect results. Level 2 adds markers over Level 1.

What you get

Kit posted to you with scissors, a sample envelope and instructions. Results in your private dashboard, typically two to three weeks after the lab receives your sample.

Before you collect

Cut from close to the scalp at the back of the head, following the kit instructions. Avoid collecting soon after colouring, bleaching or chemical treatment — these affect mineral readings substantially.
