What this test measures

Reduced glutathione (GSH), oxidised glutathione (GSSG), and the ratio of one to the other, from a dried blood spot.

Why these markers matter

Glutathione exists in two forms — reduced and oxidised — and cycles between them as it does its work. Total glutathione alone doesn't tell you much. The ratio between the two forms describes the state of that cycle, which is the more informative number and the reason this test measures both.

What you get

Kit posted to you with lancet, card and return envelope. Results in your private dashboard, typically one to two weeks after collection.
