Cortisol typically rises in the morning and falls across the day; melatonin rises in the evening as light fades. The relationship between the two curves is what describes a sleep-wake rhythm. Measuring both at several points shows that relationship. A single reading of either tells you very little about a rhythm.

What you get

Kit posted to you with labelled tubes and a timing schedule. Results shown as curves across the day in your private dashboard.

Before you collect

Timing is everything here — collect at the times specified, not when convenient. Shift work, recent travel across time zones and melatonin supplements all affect results; discuss with your practitioner before collecting.

Who this suits

People working with a practitioner on sleep patterns who want to see the underlying rhythm.

Your next step

Once you have your results, book with a Canwell naturopath, nutritionist or practitioner to talk them through and build a wellness plan that suits you. Book with Canwell
